If you are in a body of water that flows or in windy conditions, this system is a must. I've been out in windy conditions without an anchor and it was a huge pain. I spent more time paddling into position than I did fishing. After that I purchased an anchor to use. That was better, but I could only tie it off in the middle of my kayak. I can position myself exactly how I need, so I can catch those big ones.
